about me

My name is Paulo Martins Godoy. I was born in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil. Looking back, my interest in photography began in childhood. When I was ten years old, my father—who, in addition to painting as a hobby, has always been an enthusiast of photography and enjoyed documenting family moments and the cities where he lived—lent me a Kodak Hobby 35mm camera. On two school trips, I made my first photographs. I later earned a degree in Advertising, but it was during my photography classes in college that I truly found my passion.

Since 2012, when I acquired my first camera, photography has become part of my daily life, both through commercial work and personal projects. My interests range from urban photography and landscapes to abstract images and product photography, always exploring light, composition, and visual storytelling.

On this website, I present part of this body of work—both personal and commercial—as a reflection of my perspective and my journey with photography.
